Official EU Certificate of Conformity (COC) for your vehicle

A Certificate of Conformity, often shortened to COC, is an official document issued by the vehicle manufacturer that confirms your car, van or motorbike was produced in line with European type approval regulations. It contains the technical data and identification details that registration authorities need when you register or re register a vehicle in an EU country.

3. Issue by manufacturer or authorised source
   Once everything is confirmed, your COC is ordered from the official source. The data printed on the certificate is based on the original type approval information for your vehicle.

4. Secure delivery
   The COC is printed as a physical document and sent to you by tracked post or courier. You receive a tracking link once the document leaves our office.

Delivery times

Average processing and delivery times depend on the brand and the issuing authority. In many cases the COC is ready within a few working days, in others it can take up to two weeks. If you are working with a fixed registration appointment, we recommend placing your order as early as possible and choosing an express delivery option where available.

Please note that delivery times can be affected by public holidays, customs checks for non EU destinations or delays at the issuing manufacturer.

Important notes before you order

• The COC reflects the configuration of the vehicle at the time it left the factory. Later modifications like engine swaps, changes in number of seats, conversions to camper or commercial use may require additional approval from local authorities.

• Very old vehicles, heavy trucks, special purpose vehicles or models originally built for markets outside the EU might not be covered by a COC. In such cases we will inform you and, where possible, advise on alternative documents.

• The decision to accept a COC always lies with the competent registration or technical authority in your country. Regulations can differ slightly from one member state to another.

Frequently Asked Questions about COCs

1. Is this COC original and valid for registration?
Yes. We obtain COCs only through official manufacturer channels or authorised partners. The document you receive is an original manufacturer issued certificate that is suitable for presentation to EU registration authorities, provided the vehicle matches its original factory configuration.

2. Can you provide a COC for any vehicle?
We can supply COCs for most passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorbikes that were built to EU type approval standards. Some categories are not covered, for example very old vehicles, special body conversions or vehicles built for non EU markets. If a COC is not available for your VIN, we will let you know and refund the order according to our terms.

3. What information do you need from me?
The most important item is the full 17 character Vehicle Identification Number. We may also request a copy of the current registration certificate, proof of purchase or previous approval documents, especially in cases where there is a risk of mismatch or duplication.

4. My car is already registered in another country, do I still need a COC?
National registration certificates often do not contain all the technical data needed when you register the vehicle in a different country. A COC provides a harmonised EU format with all key fields. Many authorities accept national data sheets as an alternative, but in practice a COC tends to make the process smoother and faster.

5. Will the COC allow me to change the vehicle category or technical data?
No. A COC is a statement of conformity with the original type approval. It does not authorise a change of category, a different number of seats, a new weight limit or other technical modifications. For such changes most authorities require a local engineer report or individual approval on top of the COC.

6. What happens if the registration office refuses the document?
If a problem arises, please contact our support team and provide the feedback you received from the authority. In many situations the issue comes from a misunderstanding or an additional local requirement that can be clarified. If there is a genuine defect in the issued COC, we work with the issuing body to correct it or, if this is not possible, handle the case according to our refund policy.

7. Can I track the progress of my COC order?
Yes. After you place your order you receive a confirmation email with an order number. We update the status when the COC request is accepted, when the document is ready and when it has been dispatched. Once it is shipped you also receive a tracking link to follow the delivery.

8. Do you provide digital copies or only paper documents?
Registration authorities usually ask to see the original paper COC. In some cases we can send a scanned preview by email to help you prepare your file, but this is not a replacement for the printed certificate. The paper document is the one that has legal value.
